CEMETERY COMMITTEE

The Cemetery Committee met at 11:00AM at the Public Works Office.
On a motion made by Harold Brown and seconded by Brenda Baum, the Committee voted unanimously to purchase Pontem Cemetery Software as funds were allocated in the FY13 budget.
Also voted unanimously was the spending of the grounds maintenance funds.
There is currently $5,000 in the Grounds Maintenance line item. These funds will be used for:
- Repair of metal gate at Pan Cemetery
- Repair of stone walls at South Cemetery
The committee discussed the need for future work:
Pan Cemetery – area needs to be staked and laid out
South Cemetery – stone walls need repair and trees need to be pruned / cut
West Cemetery – trees need to be cut and several repairs need to be made to old soapstone graves. Certain roads may be eliminated to limit traffic.
Quaker Cemetery – it needs to be determined if there is any room remaining in this cemetery.
